Blinded by the light

The dome light in the 280z was dim and had a bug in it, so I pulled it out for cleaning.  Removing the light was a simple process of carefully prying it out of the headliner trim panel.

Once out, I removed the stainless steel trim by prying the tabs up.  This allowed me to remove the lens and clean it.  After removing the dead bugs, layers of dirt, and skin oils from the lens, replaced the standard bulb with an LED.

What a difference!  The lens looks like new and the dome light now actually gives off enough light to see in the dark!
